Project Overview - The Story Behind Showstoppers

What began as a segment on The Fame Game Show (a Las Vegas variety television series spotlighting local performers) soon grew into something much bigger. The show’s musical guests regularly performed original songs written by creator and producer Rich Friedland (aka Red Harris), and over time, the energy of those performances inspired a new idea: what if the city’s finest singers came together to record an album of these songs?

That simple concept evolved into The Fame Game Showstoppers!, a full-scale collaborative project celebrating Las Vegas’s extraordinary community of musicians, vocalists, and entertainers. The album brought together familiar faces from the show and new friends from across the city’s vibrant scene, uniting everyone under one cause: to make great music for a great purpose.

From the TV stage to the recording studio to a full live concert experience, Showstoppers embodies the Vegas spirit: creative, generous, and endlessly show-stopping.

THE ALBUM

Red Harris Presents: The Fame Game Showstoppers!

Recorded primarily at Brett Hansen’s studio in Las Vegas, The Fame Game Showstoppers! captures the city’s best voices performing original songs from the creative catalog of Rich Friedland (Red Harris). Many of the featured artists were past guests on The Fame Game Show, while others were recruited from Vegas’s thriving live music circuit - approached at gigs, referred by friends, or drawn in by the shared mission of supporting Opportunity Village, a non-profit serving individuals with disabilities.

The result is an album as diverse as the performers themselves. From bluegrass to big band, island pop to soul ballads, every track was shaped by collaboration, passion, and purpose. The sense of community runs deep - each performer lending their voice, not just to a song, but to a cause.

As a bonus, the album has two exclusive tracks including Those Were the Nights!, performed by The Las Vegas Legends (Peter Anthony, Freddie Bell, Babe Pier, Carme Pitrello, and Nelson Sardelli).

We partnered with Bandcamp because their platform allows listeners to "pay what they want" for the album - giving fans the chance to contribute beyond the standard retail price if they’re feeling extra charitable. Every dollar counts and goes directly toward supporting Opportunity Village and its core mission of empowering individuals with disabilities in Las Vegas.

THE CONCERT

The Fame Game Showstoppers! In Concert

To celebrate the album’s release, The Fame Game Showstoppers in Concert is taking place at the stunning Freedom Hall inside Sun City Anthem, thanks to the partnership and generosity of their community. The event is going to be a true Vegas-style showcase - filled with powerhouse performances, laughter, and a sense of shared purpose.

In the months leading up to the show, the team filmed commercials, appeared on local media like The Mark OToole Show (produced and taped on the same Freedom Hall stage) and The Dennis Bono Show, and rallied countless supporters across Las Vegas. It's a massive effort bringing together producers, performers, press, and fans, all to benefit Opportunity Village.

The November 18, 2025 concert will mark the first opportunity for fans to purchase physical copies of the album, available exclusively at the event after its previous digital release. The evening will be a joyful reminder of what can happen when a city of entertainers comes together for a cause greater than applause.
